Soccer Game Preview: Eastside vs. Quartz Hill

Eastside hasn't had much luck against Quartz Hill recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eastside Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Quartz Hill Royals at 5:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Eastside and Highland finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw.

Kaelyn McCaslin and Yasmin Diaz Benitez scored both of Eastside's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Quartz Hill entered their tilt with Knight on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Hawks onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Quartz Hill has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those seven matches. Eastside's draw makes their record 4-8-2 this season.

Eastside might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Quartz Hill when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Eastside was down 6-0.
