Softball Recap: Rosemont Comes Up Short

Rosemont might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Liberty Ranch who claimed the real prize. The Wolverines lost 14-4 to the Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolverines have suffered against the Hawks since March 17, 2022.

Jalaya Cozart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Rosemont has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15-1 record this season. As for Liberty Ranch, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rosemont is set to square off against their familiar foe Union Mine at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Liberty Ranch will take on rival El Dorado at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Hawks' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while the Cougars have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
