Oak Ridge put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Ponderosa Bruins. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Ellison Schroeder tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Oak Ridge's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aly Watson, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Oak Ridge's record is now 9-0. As for Ponderosa, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coming up, Oak Ridge is taking a road trip to square off against Whitney at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ponderosa, they will welcome Christian Brothers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
