Softball Game Preview: Fort Wayne Wayne Generals vs. Southern Wells Raiders

The Fort Wayne Wayne Generals will head out to face off against the Southern Wells Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses dating back to last season for Fort Wayne Wayne and eight for Southern Wells dating back to last season.

Fort Wayne Wayne couldn't beat Bluffton on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Generals came up short against the Tigers, falling 21-4.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Southern Wells and Eastbrook, and Eastbrook kept the tradition alive. The Raiders lost 15-1 to the Panthers on Thursday.

Southern Wells saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylea Coffel, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one run.

Southern Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Fort Wayne Wayne suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Southern Wells when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Generals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
