Softball Recap: Garden City's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Garden City put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Goodland Cowboys get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Fans of the Buffaloes have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

The team relied heavily on Marisol Angeles, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Yasmin Angeles was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Marisol wasn't the only one making solid contact: Garden City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Garden City's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 10.8 runs thus far. As for Goodland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
