Basketball Recap: Christian Brothers Academy's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After a string of three wins, Christian Brothers Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 63-52 to the Niskayuna Silver Warriors. If the Brothers were looking for revenge after losing 68-58 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Christian Brothers Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jj Osinski dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Osinski is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jt Vogel, who posted 14 points.

Christian Brothers Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5. As for Niskayuna, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Shaker the next time they take the court. Christian Brothers Academy will head out to face Shaker at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Niskayuna will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
