Volleyball Recap: Madera South Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Madera South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Madera Coyotes. If the Stallions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Coyotes when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-18, 25-14.

Isabella Zaragosa paced Madera South's offense, picking up ten kills. Zaragosa got some help from Liyah Chavira and her 19 assists. Zaragosa also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ariel Aguirre, racking up three apiece.

Madera South's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Madera, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Madera South will head out on the road to square off against Caruthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Stallions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madera, they will challenge Lemoore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
