Softball Recap: Woodrow Wilson's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Woodrow Wilson brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They never let the Jordan Panthers get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Bruins brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Alexsa Barrera was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, Charlotte White was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tatum Yates, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3.

Woodrow Wilson hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive matches.

With the win, Woodrow Wilson broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10. As for Jordan, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
