Softball Recap: Pine Plains Gets the Win

On Friday Pine Plains's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the New Paltz Huguenots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bombers have posted since May 4, 2025.

Pine Plains' record now sits at 4-0. As for New Paltz, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Pine Plains will be playing at home against Dover at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Paltz, they will challenge Saugerties at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Sawyers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Huguenots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
