Recap: Scituate Spartans vs. Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE
The Scituate Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 67-36 loss at the hands of Blackstone Valley Prep. Scituate has struggled against Blackstone Valley Prep recently, as their game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Larsh, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio DeJesus, who scored seven points.
Scituate's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Blackstone Valley Prep, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Scituate will head out on the road to face off against Cranston East at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Blackstone Valley Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Achievement First Providence at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Achievement First Providence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
