The Orange Panthers will take on the Estancia Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Orange has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Orange is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Loara just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saxons.

Scarlett Poitra was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.
In other batting news, Liliana Nunez and Anabelle Alvarado did some serious damage despite the final result: Nunez went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Alvarado went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Madyson Valerio was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Estancia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against Godinez Fundamental, falling 12-6.
Like Orange, Estancia also got a great game from a two-way player: Jaydin McClure. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and 11 unearned) runs off seven hits. McClure was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Heather Fultz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Estancia's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Orange, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Everything went Orange's way against Estancia in their previous matchup on April 4th, as Orange made off with a 14-0 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
