Volleyball Recap: Delta Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Tayden King and Chevy Abbott

It was a good run, but Delta unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stansbury Stallions. The Rabbits were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stallions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Delta ultimately came up short, they really made Stansbury work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Delta had strong showings from Chevy Abbott, who had 14 digs, and Tayden King, who had 12 kills, eight digs, and five aces. King is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Stansbury, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.

Coming up, Delta will be playing at home against Richfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stansbury, they have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Timpanogos on the 20th.
