Mason had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Fairfield Indians as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Comets were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Indians, so the Comets were just returning the favor.

Mason not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fairfield between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-18.

Tomas Amaya paced Mason's offense, picking up nine kills. Amaya got some help from Declan Mulvin and his 18 assists. Finally, Ryan Peppard kept Mason's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Mason's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Fairfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Mason will host Sycamore at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fairfield, they will venture away from home to challenge Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
