Football Game Preview: Oakes vs. Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter

Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Oakes on Friday at 7:00 PM. Each team will be battling to keep their 4-game winning streak alive.

Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against Strasburg/Zeeland last Friday as they made off with a 55-22 win. Senior Jamison Fettig, who rushed for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter's success.

Meanwhile, Oakes were putting the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock to the tune of 35-0. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Oakes had established a 28-0 advantage.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 4-0. Whatever the outcome in this rematch, the game is bound to be a fierce one since these are two of the top teams in the state.
