Basketball Game Preview: Freedom Prep Academy Eagles vs. Fairley Bulldogs

The Freedom Prep Academy Eagles will head out to square off against the Fairley Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Freedom Prep Academy is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Wooddale, falling 61-40. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Fairley entered their tilt with Mitchell on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They breezed by the Tigers to the tune of 97-53. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Fairley's win came from a few key players Freedom Prep Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brandon Chatman, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alarin Polk, who dropped a triple-double on 16 points, 18 boards, and ten assists.

Fairley was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Freedom Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Fairley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.
