Volleyball Recap: Catholic Central Comes Up Short

Catholic Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Fennimore Golden Eagles. The Hilltoppers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

Karley Loos paced Catholic Central's offense, picking up four kills. Loos got some help from Averie Calkins and her ten assists. Calkins was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Fennimore, their victory bumped their record up to 20-4.

Catholic Central has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Argyle on the 27th. As for Fennimore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Parkview on the 27th.
