Softball Recap: Bauxite Miners vs. Morrilton Devil Dogs
Bauxite scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Morrilton Devil Dogs by a score of 9-8. The Miners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Devil Dogs earlier this season, when they won 6-1.
Bauxite got a good showing from Bianca Battistone, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off five hits. Battistone has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
