The Thomas Jefferson Spartans will take on the Kent Denver Sun Devils in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thomas Jefferson is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Thomas Jefferson is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Chatfield on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Spartans had to suffer through a 74-28 loss at the hands of the Chargers. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-17.

The losing side was boosted by Leyna McClinon, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kent Denver). They breezed past St. Mary's to the tune of 73-46 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Sun Devils in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won three in a row.

Kent Denver's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Thomas Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Thomas Jefferson was dealt a bruising 68-34 defeat at the hands of Kent Denver in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Spartans were down 36-15.
