Basketball Recap: Wells Piles Up the Points Against Johnsburg Central

Wells won the last time they faced Johnsburg Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wells Wells CSD really took it to the Johnsburg Central Jaguars for the full four quarters, racking up an 81-48 victory. The Wells CSD have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Chase Brooks, who went 20 of 35 on his way to 48 points and three blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Passmore, who dropped a triple-double on 11 rebounds, 17 assists, and ten steals.

When it comes to explaining why Johnsburg Central lost, don't look at Nick Sauer-Jones. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 22 boards. Sauer-Jones is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 15 or more in the last four games he's played.

Wells pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Johnsburg Central, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
