While Wagoner's victory against Locust Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Wagoner skirted past Locust Grove 6-5. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Stavery James, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Aven Goodlin, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Wagoner's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Locust Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.
