Basketball Recap: Grace Christian School Kings vs. The Carmel School Wildcats
Grace Christian School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-31 loss at the hands of The Carmel School Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-20 last Thursday.
When it comes to explaining why Grace Christian School lost, don't look at Kalei Taylor. Despite the final result, she posted nine points and three steals.
Kedelin Santos was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 33 points, nine boards, and 12 steals for The Carmel School. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Santos has scored at least a third of The Carmel School's points. The team also got some help courtesy of April Twum-Barimah, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 24 rebounds.
Grace Christian School's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for The Carmel School, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.
Looking ahead, Grace Christian School will welcome Veritas School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for The Carmel School, they will head out to take on St. Michael the Archangel at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
