Volleyball Game Preview: West Springfield Terriers vs. Westfield Bombers

West Springfield is 0-10 against Westfield since June of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Terriers will head out to challenge the Bombers at 6:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, West Springfield beat Southwick Regional 3-1. The Terriers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

West Springfield got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 28-30, 25-19, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Westfield made easy work of Ludlow on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bombers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Westfield took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-13.

Westfield found their leader in sophomore Arlen Messier, who had seven aces and five digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Rodgers, who had nine digs and two assists.

West Springfield's record is now 15-3. As for Westfield, their record now sits at 13-3.
