Basketball Recap: Dickinson Falls Short of Bismarck in the Playoffs

Dickinson and Bismarck squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Dickinson had to settle for second. They took an 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bismarck Demons. The loss continues a trend for the Midgets in their meetings with the Demons: they've now lost three in a row.

Dickinson's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Bismarck, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Dickinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bismarck, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grand Forks Central at 4:00 p.m. on March 13th. Bismarck knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 matchups -- so hopefully Grand Forks Central likes a good challenge.
