Basketball Recap: Fordyce Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Fordyce won the last time they faced Gurdon and things went their way on Friday too. The Fordyce Redbugs were the clear victor by a 53-28 margin over the Gurdon Go-Devils. Given the Redbugs' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Go-Devils are ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fordyce's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for Gurdon, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
