            Dunlap has gone 8-2 against Morton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Eagles will welcome the Potters  at 4:30  p.m. Dunlap is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5  runs per game  this season.
Dunlap is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Illinois' top teams: Metamora, who was ranked 11th  at the time (Dunlap was ranked seventh). The Eagles won by a  run and slipped past the Redbirds  4-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 25, 2023, but that streak is no more.

 Sutton Centoni spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Rachel Mies was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Morton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They lost  9-3 to Washington.
 Dunlap's win was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 25-5. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Morton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-25.
 Dunlap took their  win against Morton  when the teams last played  back in April by a conclusive  9-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success,  or do  the Potters have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
