Softball Recap: Ramapo's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Ramapo came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Hackensack Comets with a sharp 16-5 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 back in April.

Ramapo's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Hackensack, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Ramapo will have a chance to go back-to-back against Hackensack: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
