Volleyball Recap: Rosemead Gets the Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calvary Baptist, Rosemead was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the La Puente Warriors by a score of 3-1.

Rosemead had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-15.

Mina Gomez paced Rosemead's offense, picking up 14 kills. Gomez got some help from Giselle Han and her 22 assists. Vivian Tu controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

The win got Rosemead back to even at 1-1. As for La Puente, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Rosemead will face off against Flintridge Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for La Puente, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvary Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on September 12.
