Soccer Game Preview: Whitney vs. Granite Bay

The Whitney Wildcats will face off against the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Whitney has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 30.

On Tuesday, Whitney didn't have quite enough to beat Folsom and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, neither Granite Bay nor Rocklin could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Granite Bay's record moves to 5-6-2. As for Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16-1.
