Softball Recap: Toms River South Comes Up Short

Toms River South lost against Donovan Catholic back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Indians lost 18-2 to the Griffins. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Toms River South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Minerie Sanchez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Sanchez brought in this season.

Toms River South now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Donovan Catholic, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Toms River South has already played their next game, an 18-1 victory against Manchester Township on the 3rd. As for Donovan Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Toms River East on the 3rd.
