Baseball Game Preview: Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts vs. Appleton North Lightning

Kaukauna is 2-8 against Appleton North since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Galloping Ghosts will welcome the Lightning at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Appleton North will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Kaukauna extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Galloping Ghosts were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over Fond du Lac. 11 seems to be a good number for the Galloping Ghosts as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Appleton North came out on top against Notre Dame Academy on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fifth inning. The Lightning put the hurt on the Tritons with a sharp 13-3 win. That's two games straight that the Lightning have won by exactly ten runs.

Kaukauna's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Appleton North, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Kaukauna couldn't quite get it done against Appleton North in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Galloping Ghosts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
