Softball Recap: Wonderview Has No Trouble Against Guy-Perkins

Wonderview got themselves on the board against Guy-Perkins on Tuesday, but Guy-Perkins never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 13-0 victory. With that win, the Daredevils brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Autumn Beck made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She also allowed three hits, marking her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Madison West was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Kierstin Roch, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Wonderview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.

Wonderview's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Guy-Perkins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Wonderview will head out to take on Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Guy-Perkins, they will welcome Mt. Vernon-Enola at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
