Baseball Game Preview: Ellenville Blue Devils vs. Spackenkill Spartans

Ellenville hasn't had much luck against Spackenkill recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. Ellenville has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ellenville fell victim to Highland and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 18-0.

Meanwhile, Spackenkill was able to grind out a solid win over Dover on Monday, taking the game 5-2.

Aiden Sickler was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Brenden Simon was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Spackenkill now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ellenville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Ellenville might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Spackenkill in their previous meeting last Monday. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
