Basketball Recap: Huntingtown Picks Up Seventh Straight Win on the Road

Huntingtown entered their tilt with McDonough on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the McDonough Rams 43-29. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-45 back in December of 2024.

Huntingtown was led to victory by Eva Powell and Autumn Harrod. Powell dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Harrod dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 boards. Powell has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

Huntingtown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.

Huntingtown pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for McDonough, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Great Mills the next time they take the court. McDonough will head out to face Great Mills at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Huntingtown will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
