Kaylin Cockefair and Anyah Unelus secure win for South Lake

Recap: South Lake Eagles vs. Windermere Wolverines

Make it six blowout wins for the South Lake Eagles this season. Everything went their way against Windermere on Monday as South Lake made off with a 50-24 win. The victory was just what South Lake needed coming off of a 56-35 loss in their prior game.

Leading South Lake to victory were Kaylin Cockefair and Anyah Unelus. Cockefair scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks, while Unelus dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Unelus continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jazmine Monroe was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six steals.

South Lake's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Windermere, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Lake will take on Olympia at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Windermere won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cypress Creek at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Cypress Creek is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
