Baseball Recap: DuVal Takes a Loss

DuVal lost against High Point on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against the Eagles, falling 12-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since May 3, 2024.

DuVal saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ezeqiel Velez, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for DuVal and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for High Point, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Looking ahead, DuVal will welcome Wise at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for High Point, they will square off against Parkdale at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 11.7 runs per game this season.
