Baseball Recap: Kingswood Oxford Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Kingswood Oxford lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Choate Rosemary Hall School, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Wyverns were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Wild Boars on Monday. That looming 13-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wyverns yet this season.

Kingswood Oxford got a massive performance out of Tommy Caporaso, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, Caporaso posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Adam Gold also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Kingswood Oxford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Choate Rosemary Hall School only posted an OBP of .355.

The win was the fourth in a row for Kingswood Oxford, bringing their record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Choate Rosemary Hall School, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.
