Community Christian came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Rickards Raiders 3-0. The game was the first time the Chargers have beaten the Raiders on their court since September 23, 2020.

Community Christian's got stronger as the match went on, holding Rickards to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-15.

Avea Casperson paced Community Christian's offense, picking up 14 kills. Casperson got some help from Sarah Bradley and her 20 assists. Bradley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Community Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Rickards, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Community Christian will be playing at home against St. John Paul II at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rickards, they will take on Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
