Baseball Recap: Archbishop Hoban's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Archbishop Hoban dropped their record down to 12-5 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Walsh Jesuit Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Walsh Jesuit, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.

For Walsh Jesuit's part, Shawn Sullivan looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Sullivan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Aiden Henry was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.

Coming up, Archbishop Hoban will venture away from home to take on Ursuline at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Walsh Jesuit, they will take on Jackson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
