The Hawken Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Harvey Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hawken is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15.5 runs per game this season.

Last Monday, Hawken beat Beachwood 12-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Ally Whiting was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ari Ruch, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Hawken was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beachwood only posted a batting average of .160.

Meanwhile, Harvey fell victim to Elyria Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Red Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hawken's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 20.5 runs this season. As for Harvey, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Hawken suffered a grim 21-11 defeat to Harvey in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
