Volleyball Recap: Takini Takes a Loss

Takini extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Santee Warriors. If the Skyhawks were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Santee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since October 4, 2024.

Santee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aubrinee Tuttle led the charge by getting five kills and four aces. Another player making a difference was Miley Pike, who had five kills and three aces.

Takini has already played their next match (against McLaughlin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Santee, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lodge Grass on the 3rd.
