Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rock Hill). They put the hurt on the South Pointe Stallions with a sharp 19-3 win on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Rock Hill got a massive performance out of Skylar Sowell, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Madelyn Coye was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Rock Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Rock Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for South Pointe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Hill will head out to face off against Fort Mill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give Fort Mill their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for South Pointe, they will venture away from home to square off against Dreher at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. South Pointe has given up an average of 15.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
