The Heritage Hills Patriots will be taking part in a tournament against the Lanesville Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Heritage Hills will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Heritage Hills will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Forest Park, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Patriots walked away with a 9-5 win over the Rangers on Friday.

Andersen Smith and Peyton Gray made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Smith tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Gray struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At bat, Smith went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Gray got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Luke Krzykowski and Micah Toler did most of the damage at the plate: Krzykowski went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Toler went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Krzykowski has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lanesville). They blew past New Washington 11-3 on Thursday.
Nolyn Hall was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Ian Crawford was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Heritage Hills pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Lanesville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Lanesville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Heritage Hills hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. It's a different story for Lanesville, though, as they've only averaged .220. Will they be able to contain Heritage Hills' hitters?
Heritage Hills took their win against Lanesville in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
