Volleyball Recap: Golden Valley Comes Up Short on the Road Against East Bakersfield + How To Watch

Golden Valley kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the East Bakersfield Blades. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Golden Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-13.

Aolani Lefotu paced Golden Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. Lefotu got some help from Esmeralda Frausto and her eight assists. Finally, Unique Pantoja kept Golden Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Leading East Bakersfield to victory were Kaylie Demison and Roxanna Ramirez. Demison had 15 digs and two aces, while Ramirez had four digs and three aces.

Golden Valley has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 19th. As for East Bakersfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Highland on the 19th.
