Baseball Game Preview: Great Crossing Warhawks vs. Eastern Eagles

The Great Crossing Warhawks will take on the Eastern Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Great Crossing is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Great Crossing blew Bryan Station out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Bryan Station got their revenge. The Warhawks fell just short of the Defenders by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warhawks have suffered since April 25th.

Levi Hamon made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Mullannix, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Eastern's offense. They lost 14-0 to North Bullitt on Thursday. Eastern has struggled against North Bullitt recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Great Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-19.

Great Crossing came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastern in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Warhawks repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
