Basketball Recap: Halifax Academy Comes Up Short

Halifax Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 51-35 fall against the Father Lopez Green Wave. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly 16 points.

Addy Fulton was her usual excellent self, putting up 17 points for Father Lopez. Fulton is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Fallon Orr, who posted 11 points.

Halifax Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Father Lopez, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax Academy will take on Leesburg Christian Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Father Lopez, they will challenge Seabreeze at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Father Lopez has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
