Soccer Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern lost against Williamston back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Quakers fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Eastern came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Williamston are ranked 194th).

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Williamston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will take on Haslett at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Williamston, they will challenge Powers Catholic on Saturday.
