T.W. Andrews extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 5-14 in the process. They came up short against the Walkertown Wolfpack, falling 17-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Walkertown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-6. The result was nothing new for the Wolfpack, who have now won 14 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Walkertown's part, Caden Joyce and David Olmedo made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Joyce tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Olmedo tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Joyce has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. At bat, Joyce went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Olmedo went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Olmedo has become a key player for Walkertown: the team is 14-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, Cam Smith was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Blodgett, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

T.W. Andrews does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walkertown, they will venture away from home to square off against Morehead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolfpack will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
