Baseball Recap: George West Longhorns vs. Mathis Pirates
George West was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Mathis on Tuesday. The Longhorns blew past the Pirates 14-6. The Longhorns not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th.
George West got a great performance from Vance Partridge as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Partridge has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
