Basketball Recap: Broadway Takes a Loss

Broadway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 70-52 to the Cave Spring Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gobblers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-52 on Friday.

Broadway's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cave Spring, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Broadway will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on William Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. William Monroe will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Broadway surely won't give up without a fight. Cave Spring has already played their next matchup, a 46-44 victory against Jefferson Forest on the 28th.
