Soccer Recap: Layton Takes a Loss

Layton was the 2-1 winner over Farmington when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Isaac Kartchner was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Logan Burton and Crew Hawley scored both of Layton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Layton now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Farmington, their record is now 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Layton will take on rival Fremont at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Farmington is set to challenge their familiar foe Davis at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
